Interests: Hhhhmmm...well, I LOVE hanging out with my dear cousin Shanny-bug (otherwise known as Irishriver), my family, and my visually appealing husband. I also like reading novels and stacks of spankin-new fashion mags, watching various cable channels such as E!, Style, QVC (don't laugh, it's quality programming), Discovery Health, History, etc. I LOVE to knit and do it in my spare time. I've also been known to enjoy the occasional Denise Austin workout tape. My thighs can't thank her enough. *Note to close friends and family-Don't call me between the hour of 10:00-11:00 pm on Tuesday night! Why, you ask? Because I am watching The Shield, which I consider God's gift to television. You've been warned!*

Hello everyone!

I haven't updated in a very, VERY long time and that makes me a naughty girl!  I have been most busy but also a little lazy. Sometimes it's just to emotionally draining to write an entire entry. Does that make any sense? That is why I've grown fond of Facebook and MySpace, I don't have to write anything really. Anyway...what has been going on lately with me? Well, I'm now taking the second of two Summer classes. The first one was Adult Development and Aging and I loved it! I got a big fat A in it and walked around with a smug look on my face for about two days. The class I'm in now is an acting class and I'm not taking it by choice. It's an elective and it pretty much sucks. It's not a lot of work and my classmates are cool, it's just so second nature to me that it's like being taught how to read all over again or something. It's pretty boring and I'll be glad when this month is over. The fun part of it is that I get to go see plays for credit! As for the Chicken, he is taking a Chemistry class and it's like, 5 hours a day, 4 days a week. Rough schedule. He also got a job as a math tutor at the school and will now be paid to tutor me! How cool is that? Besides all the school crap, we've managed to avoid being antisocial! We went to a lil' Father's Day thing in Warsaw a couple of weeks ago and that was cool. I got to go out on a pontoon boat which thrilled the poo out of me. I love boats and am not ammused that my dad waited until NOW to get one (even if it is a fishing boat)!  Bird and I got to see both of our family's and eat mucho BBQ, which is always nice! For 4th of July we ended up seeing two sets of fireworks with some friends, the Goshen set and the set here in Fort Wayne. Even though Goshen boasts of being "the best in Northern Indiana, Fort Wayne's was just as good. So put that in your pipe and smoke it, Goshen! Noah also set off some fireworks by our apartment (which sent geese scattering all over the golf coarse) while I hovered from the patio like a damsel in distress. I don't like to be to close to fireworks cuz I'm afraid I'll catch on fire. Shanny, you missed a great show and "pmft" to you for leaving early!

That's pretty much all that's been going on the last month. The rest of the summer includes finishing my class, working, knitting like a crazy woman, and protecting my petunia's from those friggin' June beetles!

Talk to you all later!

Hi everyone!

Geez, it's so dreary out! It's kind of depressing me as I sit here and munch my breakfast Lean Pocket while looking out the window...okay, that was a really long and descriptive sentence.  On to the point of my post: Recently I was made aware of this new feature on xanga called Footprints, in which you can actually see who visits your page and when. I think this feature is both awesome, creepy, and kind of a bummer. Personally, before Footprints came along, I visited lots of people's sites and rarely left comments. I just liked to check their page out and read their posts. No biggie right? It's not like these sights are private. I kind of view it as reading a really long, continuous novel and some of my favorites xangans were awesome writers. Well, I don't do the visiting so much anymore because I don't want the owner of the site to think I'm a creepy stalker! As I look at my Footprints log, I notice that half of my visitors are people I know and the other half are either strangers or those who choose to remain anonymous, simply showing what state or country they are from. I've had people from all over the world lately; Japan, France, Virginia, Florida, and California. Whoever you are in California that visits me quite frequently, thank you! I don't' know who you are but I'm glad you find my page so captivating! To all you anonymous people, leave a comment saying hello if you want but no pressure!  Not that the higher-ups at Xanga give a crap what I think, but I feel this Footprints feature kind of takes the fun out of Xanga and makes it more of a private community because people like me are going to be to embarrassed to go poking around sites anymore. Because this isn't a private community, you can assume that strangers are going to visit your site and not say anything and I personally don't care! Come one, come all and remain silent for all I care! Okay, I'm getting off of my soapbox now. I have flowers to tend to and a Merino wool (from Knitpicks, for all you knitters) sweater to cast on!

I have something delightful to announce! I have reason to believe that my SUPER-ANNOYING upstairs neighbors and their pet elephant (that's the only explanation for the noise they make) are moving!!!!  These boys have been waking me up at 4:00 in the morning with their blaring butt-rock for basically a year now and Noah is getting sick of going up their and yelling at them all the time. Anyway, the other day, as I was watering my patio-garden, I spied a moving trailer and saw the boys hauling clothes to their car. Since then I haven't been waken up at night and haven't heard their pet elephant. I am quite thrilled. I don't mind having neighbors at all but when they are three loud college guys who swill bear into to the late hours of the nights and let their pet elephant run wild, well then I have issues. Hopefully we'll get some nice, quite old people up there next.

Lisa's past week in a nutshell (in no particular order):

1.) Helped Shanny move! A sweaty but fun-filled process which basically consisted of me watching the guys carry the heavy stuff while I stuck to the lampshades!

2.) Planted my loverly "patio garden". I went to Lowes with the idea in my head of what I wanted my patio garden to look like. I practically lost an eye getting the flowers I wanted, as the professional gardeners were out in full force. Hey old lady in the rubber clogs, just because you have an entire yard to cultivate and I only have an 8x2 cement slab doesn't make me any less entitled to that pot o' Petunias! Yep, that's what I shoulda said!

3.) Celebrated Shanny's 21st birthday! Me, Shanny, and Shanny's friend went to Applebees where Shanny proceeded to feel "ever so rebellious"!  Much cake, ice cream, and age-appropriate beverages were consumed and a good time was had by all!

4.) I got my first COACH purse!  Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Yesterday I went to Plato's Closet with an armload of clothes to sell and while I was in there this girl came in with a bunch of high-priced clothes and a Coach purse to sell. I couldn't believe she was willing to sell a $350 purse to Plato's Closet when she could sell it on Ebay and get more money for it! Nevertheless, Plato's offered her $80 for it and as soon as she left the store, I SNATCHED it up for $65!!! Can you believe that? I guess $350 is like pocket change to some people and they just don't care. And YES, it's real...if that's what your thinking! I verified it's authenticity using my superior designer purse knowledge. So, that's one more purse I can check off of my wish-list.

Dooney & Bourke- check!

Coach-check!

Louis Vuition-

Prada-

Fendi-

Gucci-

Christian Dior-

Micheal Kors-

Hermes "Birken"bag-

Keep in mind that I don't necessarily know what specific styles of these purses I want, I just WANT them! I'm all about the labels baby. Call me shallow...me no care! Everyone has their vice and mine is purses. Some people like shoes...clothes...jewelry, etc. You get my point.

5.) Me and the chicken babysat our nephew Gavin last night, and although I thoroughly enjoyed the little tike and had fun playing with him, my decision to not have children until I get really, REALLY bored was only further enforced.

Okay, that's about all that's going on with me right now besides school and work. Talk to you all later!
